Tottori Castle (Inaba Province/Tottori Prefecture)
Located in Mt. Kyuushou in Tottori City, Tottori Prefecture. The castle was built while conflicts between the Inaba Yamana clan and the Tajima Yamana clan went on. The castle was attacked by Motoharu Kikkawa of the Mohri clan and belonged to the Mohri clan after that. Tsuneie Kikkawa became the castle ruler in due time. Hideyoshi Hashiba, the retainer of the Oda clan, came to lay siege to the castle and cut its supply lines, leading to Tsuneie Kikkawa commiting suicide when he surrendered. After this, Keijun Miyabe, Hideyoshi's subordinate, was placed to mange the castle. The Ikeda clan was assigned to the castle in the Edo period and held the post until the Meiji Restoration. The castle consists of a part built on a mountain and the one at its foot arranged in the early modern period.
