Toyama Castle (Ecchuu Province/Toyama Prefecture)
It is said the origin of Toyoma-jo was the built by Nagamoto Jinbou in the 12th year of Tenmon era (1543). In the 10th year of Tensho era (1582) , Narimasa Sassa, a subordinate of Nobunaga Oda, became the castle ruler, but the Maeda clan took over when he opposed Hideyoshi and surrendered after all. In the 10th year of Keicho era (1605), Toshinaga, the master of the Maeda clan, retired and based Toyoma-jo as his residence castle. But the castle was lost in the fire in the 14th year of Keicho era (1609) and abandoned it, choosing to move to Takaoka-jo. However, Toyama Han was set up in the 16th year of Kan'ei era (1639) and the reconstruction of the castle started from the 4th year of Manji era (1661).
