Tsuyama Castle (Mimasaka Province/Okayama Prefecture)
Also called Kakuzan-jo. In the 8th year of Keicho era (1603), Tadamasa Mori built the castle as the lord of the land after his deeds in the Battle of Sekigahara, and finished the castle in the 2nd year of Genna era (1616). The 5-story castle tower was also built then. After the Meiji restoration, it became abandoned, but the Bicchu turret was restored in 2002. Known for its 3 levels of stone walls, the castle holds a very good view of the city.
