Ishigakiyama Castle (Sagami Province/Kanagawa Prefecture)
A castle built in the 18th year of Tensho era (1590) by Hideyoshi Toyotomi during the Siege of Odawara. As it was built in the forest not to be seen from the Odawara castle and the trees around the castle were cut down when the construction was finished, it looked to the people in Odawara castle as if the Ishigakiyama castle was built in a day. Then, the castle became to be also called "the One Night Castle". Ishigakiyama-jo allowed surveillance of Odawara-jo located below, and was the best spot to perform reconnaissance. As this is a rare castle that only uses rocks, it is said that Hideyoshi mobilized a large number of stone-piling experts from Oomi to build it.
