Ueda Castle (Shinano Province/Nagano Prefecture)
Ueda-jo was built in the 11th year of Tensho era (1583) by Masayuki Sanada, and famed for protected twice against Tokugawa forces. After the Siege of Osaka, it became the Segoku and then Matsudaira clan's residence. The corner turrets and stone walls remain today. The turrets were built during Tadamasa Sengoku's period, and 3 of them remain today.
