Fukuchiyama Castle (Tanba Province/Kyoto Prefecture)
A castle built in the lands of Fukuchiyama, when Mitsuhide Akechi conquered Tanba in the 7th year of Tensho (1579), and his vassal, Hidemitsu Akechi bedcame the ruler. After Mitsuhide died, Hideyoshi Toyotomi seized posession, and acted as the feudal court of Fukuchiyama. The stone walls were built by collected temple rock towers. There is now a castle tower built on top of them.
